This was a vast project, on which I acted not only as copywriter, but as information architect and project manager for the entire switch of the site from a niche content management system to a new, custom build developed on Wordpress and Woo Commerce. I’ve been working with this company since 2006, making them my longest continuous client. On this 2021 rebuild, the job was to revitalise the relevance and appeal of Taurus, extending it beyond its former ‘wooden beds’ offer to a position capable of supporting a broader, more contemporary range of upholstered beds and other beautiful bedroom furniture. We are a family-run bed maker and retailer.
We’ve been building superb quality beds, here in the UK, since 1979. We sell both online and from our high street showroom, one of the oldest bed shops in London.
Every bed we sell is hand made precisely to your specification, by the skilled makers in our joinery and upholstery workshops.
Our mattresses are also all manufactured for us here in the UK, or are quality brands from top UK mattress makers.
We deliver our beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture ourselves, and wherever possible will assemble for you on-site.
Our Swiss Cottage showroom stands where it has done for more than 20 years – just a mile or so from the site on which Tom Walsh set up Taurus more than 40 years ago.
