We recently had cause to write to a valued customer, a dentist who’d been sending work to us for a decade. 

His work had always been of the highest order, yet over the last year the quality had dropped off markedly.

We were regularly having to query impressions which did not give us the information we need to make well-fitting prosthetics.

Our queries were being thrown back, causing frustration at both ends.

So we wrote, explaining to a dentist with many years’ experience,  that his work was no longer meeting his own high standards.

But also no longer meeting ours.

We expected it might cost us a customer. But actually, it seems to have made us a friend.

Every time your lab sends you back work that can’t be fitted, they may take the cost of the remake but you lose an hour of chargeable appointment time.

Yet inaccurate lab work is almost always the result of poor impression taking.

So we work with our dentists to make sure they understand exactly how we need their impressions.

If you need a new lab, you’ll turn to a colleague or friend for a recommendation.

Of course you will. Human nature.

But your colleagues or your friends may not be amongst the 200 or so outstanding dentists for whom we currently make implants, crown and bridge work and prosthetics.

Which means you’ll not get to hear about us.
