Chocolate Pudding was an interesting opportunity to help designer and entrepreneuse Penelope Wallace define the character and core messaging of her new brand. Beginning by writing the evocative brand line ‘Scenes from an English Childhood’, I aim (as in this sample taken from the website) to use written content to reinforce Penelope’s charming clothes to further develop the unique feel of the Chocolate Pudding brand. (My company also designed the Chocolate Pudding website, and built both it and the bespoke CMS which supports it.) Brand definition and web content, inter alia, for Chocolate Pudding

Oh to be in England

English taste. English style.

Combining fine fabrics, superb design, and high-quality cutting and manufacture, Chocolate Pudding offers those who value style and quality the opportunity to dress their child in contemporary yet whimsical English fashion.

Drawing on memories of the hedgerows of Beatrix Potter, the sound of the ice-cream van, and the dampened sands at Sandbanks and Scarborough, Chocolate Pudding creative director Penelope Wallace and her team offer fun, stylish clothes which are easy to wear and to wash, while giving children an early taste of the sensual and enduring textures and freedoms of quality, natural fabrics.

Special enough for gifting. Smart enough for best. Tough and flexible enough for everyday and durable enough for passing on, Chocolate Pudding intertwines infatuation with the detail of English childhood with the modern parent’s insistence on practicality and good value.

The skies are sometimes grey. The clouds will sometimes open. But an English childhood is one built from fun, family, friends and happiness.
