aBut advertising, still the highest paid and most exalted skill in the copywriting playbook, calls for knowledge and experience that cannot be acquired any other way.

Having spent almost 20 years as a Copywriter and Creative Director at some of the UK’s best advertising agencies, however, I have a huge amount of experience of developing and writing advertising at the highest level.

(I’ve done this for Unilever, Marks & Spencer, The Guardian, The COI, Sure, The BBC and a host of other world famous brands. In doing so, I collected the kind of awards by which the advertising industry sets such store.)

Not just a copywriter... an advertising copywriter.

If you’re an SME business looking at using advertising, you’re probably considering a print or online campaign. (While television and outdoor media are both still exceptionally powerful, their costs tend to put them beyond the means of smaller businesses.)

These media both offer you affordable access to the power of the traditional advertising audience. Getting results from them, however, requires real skill.

There’s no chance at all of a copywriter without proper advertising experience getting this right for you. Sadly, if you get it wrong, and your advertising doesn’t achieve cut-through and get itself noticed and acted on, then the money you’ve spent on running it will have been wasted.
