about your project
From time to time I run workshops on various aspects of copywriting. These are generally whole-day events and cover either copywriting techniques and methods, or the business of setting up and working as a freelance copywriter.
The workshops are usually held within the M25, though I do occasionally wander further afield. There are generally no more than 25 people in each workshop, making it possible for me to keep the day focused and ensure lots of opportunities to answer questions. There are refreshments on hand all day, and a break in the middle for a short but pleasant lunch.
Solving Copywriting Problems Workshop
The workshop deals with a range of techniques and approaches used in everyday practice by freelance copywriters and by marketing managers and entrepreneurs who do their own copywriting. These include writing websites, sales letters (both email and print), newsletters (both email and print), brochures, and leaflets.
We look at the fundamental differences between media, and at how to select appropriate tone of voice for each individual communication. We look at corporate and brand hierarchies, and at how to decide who is speaking, and with what 'house' tone of voice they should speak.
There's no formal Q&A sessions, but I leave time throughout the workshop to deal with your questions as they arise.

Running a Freelance Copywriting Business Workshop
The workshop is intended specifically for people who would like to set up in business as a freelance copywriter, as well as for those who are already working in this way but feel they might benefit from an injection of ideas and experien ce.
The course covers setting up in business, deciding how to work, establishing what to charge, finding clients, managing workflow, managing client relations, protecting yourself, and ensuring you get paid.
There's no formal Q&A sessions, but I leave generous time throughout the workshop to deal with your questions as they arise.
