about your project
If the world of planning and building websites is a little daunting to you, I'd be happy to help you.
We're very
used to scoping out all kinds of sites, and then having them built.
These range
from
'brochure sites' consisting of a few pages, through to database driven
sites with sophisticated content management systems, shopping carts
and other integrated functions.
Building a site for you
I work with excellent Web Architects, Project Managers, Database Engineers, Web Designers, Web Developers and programmers, who have comprehensive knowledge of current web technologies and commerce platforms.
Site scoping, technical specification and design of the look and feel of your site, as well as the production of all graphic elements, is done here in the UK. Depending on the project, actual development is done either in the UK or else by developers in Sri Lanka and the Ukraine with whom we work constantly.
Scoping a site for you
A website is either a communications or a
sales tool. Before you
go near web developers or programmers you should define who
your site is intended to be read or used by, what they are
meant
to do while they are on it, and what will drive them to the site
in the first place (as this may well effect the make up of the site
itself).
All of the function of the site can then be designed to deliver the desired outcome, and all of its content can be directed in such a way as to make what you want to happen more likely to happen.
Deciding how the site will look, and building its technology, then both become straightforward processes which can be tackled with absolute clarity of objective.
I do a great deal of this kind of work (often in a consulting capacity for web development companies). The outcome is detailed site maps and user flows which are used by the developers to build the site, relieving them of responsibility for a crucial part of the process which is, in truth, a marketing exercise for which they are usually ill-qualified.
